The Centurions were unable to return to winning ways this afternoon at the Stobart Stadium Halton, when they were defeated by Cheshire rivals Widnes Vikings.

The final score was Widnes 30, Leigh 12.

Directors, officials, players and staff at the club would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who braved the conditions on Thursday at the Salford game.

The Centurions suffered their first defeat of the 2008 season at Hilton Park this evening, at the hands of Salford City Reds.

The final score was Leigh 8, Salford 24.

 Leigh Centurions half-back Dennis Moran has been given the all clear to resume playing and contact training after spending four weeks out with a back injury. 
 

This Thursday night the mighty Leigh Centurions take on Salford City Reds at Hilton Park in the first Co-operative National League 1 fixture. The club have arranged a match day entertainment package that’s not to be missed.

The Centurions kept their 2008 unbeaten record intact today after seeing off Blackpool Panthers in the final round of the Northern Rail Cup Group competition, with a 26 - 6 victory at Hilton Park.

In the next round of the Northern Rail Cup, the Centurions will travel to the Chris Moyles Stadium on 6th April (to be confirmed) to battle Featherstone Rovers.

Ticket number 1819 won the Half Time Draw and has been claimed.
