The Centurions notched their first victory of the 2008 Co-operative National League 1 campaign at Hilton Park this afternoon, after seeing off the Dewsbury Rams.

The final score was Leigh Centurions 26, Dewsbury Rams 2.

The Centurions were unable to return to winning ways this afternoon at the Stobart Stadium Halton, when they were defeated by Cheshire rivals Widnes Vikings.

The final score was Widnes 30, Leigh 12.

Directors, officials, players and staff at the club would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who braved the conditions on Thursday at the Salford game.

The Centurions suffered their first defeat of the 2008 season at Hilton Park this evening, at the hands of Salford City Reds.

The final score was Leigh 8, Salford 24.

 Leigh Centurions half-back Dennis Moran has been given the all clear to resume playing and contact training after spending four weeks out with a back injury.
